Three generations of one practice.
Jacobs & Newmark, P.C. is an independent certified public accounting firm for closely-held businesses across the Chicago area, with offices in Wheaton and Buffalo Grove, Illinois.
Irvin Jacobs, CPA was practicing in Chicago when his son Wayne passed the CPA exam on his first sitting in 1978. Wayne joined him in 1981.
In 1988 Edward Newmark, then a manager at a mid-sized Chicago firm, joined them, and Jacobs & Newmark, P.C. was formed. The intention was a practice that could handle everything an owner-managed business needed in one place: the books, the payroll, the returns, and the planning that connects them.
That is still what the firm does, from two offices in Wheaton and Buffalo Grove. Anthony Di John and Michael Feuerstein are the partners today. Wayne and Ed are still here. So are clients from 1988.
We work with small, medium, and large independent businesses across retail, wholesale and distribution, construction, manufacturing, professional services, real estate, and veterinary medicine. What they have in common is not an industry. It is that the owner is also the operator, and the decisions land on one desk.

Jacobs & Newmark has been independently owned since it was formed in 1988, and it is not for sale. In practice that means the accountant who learns your business keeps it, and you are not starting over with someone new every few years.
Wayne Jacobs joined his father's practice in 1981. Ed Newmark joined in 1988. Both are still here.
