David earned a B.S. in accounting in 1984 from the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign and passed the CPA exam that year. David began his career at a local public accounting firm and worked his way up the ranks to senior manager.
From 1994 to 1996, David worked as the Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer of a company that developed, constructed and operated a licensed long term care facility, specializing in Alzheimer's care. From 1996 to 2010 he was CFO and Corporate Secretary of a biotechnology company developing Alzheimer's diagnostics, which went public in 2002.
He went on to found a virtual biotech startup working on Type 1 Diabetes and cancer treatments, and a management consulting practice assisting startups and transitioning companies. His expertise covers highly regulated fields, SEC reporting, and contract negotiations.
