Edward earned a BS in Accounting from Southern Illinois University in 1977 and passed the CPA exam in 1979. He rose from staff accountant to manager at a mid-sized Chicago firm before joining Wayne Jacobs in 1988 to form Jacobs & Newmark, P.C.
Edward specializes in financial and tax accounting for small and medium sized, closely held businesses. He has deep expertise in real estate and more than twenty-five years in the veterinary industry, having worked with dozens of animal hospitals including practice valuations, and is a member of the Veterinary Hospital Managers Association.
He is a member of the Illinois CPA Society and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, is involved in the Wilmette Roundtable Group, a networking group of CPA partners in the Chicago area, and is a registered QuickBooks Pro Advisor.
